Pastor Troy, known for his introspective Dirty South rap style, emerged in the early 2000s. Influenced by his Haitian father and Atlanta’s street culture, he debuted with “We Ready - I Declare War” in 1999. His major-label debut, “Face Off,” followed in 2001, featuring hits like “No Mo Play in G.A.” His peak came with “Universal Soldier” in 2002, reaching number 13 on Billboard 200. After parting with Universal, he released numerous independent albums, including “By Any Means Necessary” in 2004.
