Emory’s live gamelan orchestra of students and community members will play the unique classical music from Java to accompany a stunning visual performance of intricate shadow puppets called wayang kulit. The gamelan is directed by Darsono Hadiraharjo, one of Java’s most prominent living musicians. After the performance, guests are welcome to meet the musicians and try some of the instruments. All-ages event and family-friendly. Seats are free and first-come, first-served.
