The 2023 State of the Region event is an opportunity for metro Atlanta’s top leaders and decision-makers to unite in our mission to shape One Great Region.
This year’s program will include the State of the Region address from ARC Executive Director and CEO Anna Roach, as well as once again bring to the stage “What’s Next ATL“ talks that focus attention on the biggest issues facing our region.
The event will also celebrate innovative successes realized within regional communities and leaders with the presentation of the Regional Excellence Awards. And, join us as we celebrate the 2023 recipient of the Harry West Visionary Leadership Award which recognizes outstanding community service and leadership.

Mitch Landrieu
Senior Advisor to the President of the United States
The Atlanta Regional Commission is excited to announce this year’s State of the Region keynote speaker — Senior Advisor to the President of the United States and Infrastructure Coordinator, Mitch Landrieu.
In his current role, the former lieutenant governor of Louisiana and mayor of New Orleans oversees the implementation of the $3 trillion dollar Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. In his keynote address, Landrieu will evaluate the impact of these investments on metro Atlanta as we work together towards One Great Region
What’s Next ATL Talks
The highly anticipated What’s Next ATL Talks will return to the stage at this year’s State of the Region event. Hear from Misti Martin, President and CEO of the Cherokee Office of Economic Development and Amol Naik, ARC Board member and Senior Vice President at Ting Internet.
