Saturday Morning Cartoons

10:00 a.m. at SCADshow, Stage 2

Experience the joy of cartoons on the big screen in a masterfully curated screening designed to invoke the joy of Saturday morning binges. This 75-minute screening will feature family-friendly shorts guaranteed to delight, enlighten, and entertain. Pajama bottoms and silly slippers encouraged!

This session is open to festival passholders and individual tickets to this event are also available for purchase.

Find Yourself On the Green: An Immersive Public Art Space with SCADpro

12:00 p.m. at SCADshow, Main Stage

Take an immersive journey and Find Yourself On the Green, an augmented reality mural in partnership with SCADpro and Phipps Plaza. In 2023, a talented team of SCAD students, alumni, and faculty collaborated on a 17-foot mural at the upscale Buckhead mall using Adobe Aero’s latest technology. The project, commissioned by Phipps Plaza, sought to create an AR multisensory experience to bring their outdoor space, The Green, to life through interactive design and animation. Join SCADpro student team members and staff to learn how SCADpro strategized to marry traditional methods of creativity with cutting-edge technology in this enchanting public art project.

SCAD Animation Showcase

1:30 p.m. at SCADshow, Main Stage

At SCAD, animation students learn and work in a growing field that has ascended to preeminence in the entertainment industry. This selection of student-produced short films showcases a range of styles and techniques — and include the finest short films from SCAD Animation Studios, where students work on studio-style productions under the tutelage of accomplished SCAD animation professors.

Going Greek with FOX series ‘Krapopolis’

7:30 p.m. at SCADshow, Main Stage

Krapopolis, from creator Dan Harmon (Rick and Morty), is an animated comedy set in mythical ancient Greece premiering Sunday, Sept. 24 on FOX. In the highly anticipated new series, a flawed family of humans, gods, and monsters tries to run one of the world’s first cities without killing each other. Enjoy the series premiere as well as an exclusive preview of an all-new episode. The screening will be followed by a conversation with series creatives.
