‘TIL INFINITY & BEYONCÉ: Make sure you see André 3000 when his tour hits Atlanta because there’s no telling when he will hit the stage again.

Seldom are announcements made that could outshine or rival the surprise reveal late last year of André 3000’s debut solo album, New Blue Sun. Therefore, it is quite fitting that an announcement that indeed does also pertains to the former OutKast rapper. Today, the enigmatic, reclusive, and relentlessly creative artist known as André 3000 has announced a tour in support of his instrumental departure album, called the “New Blue Sun Live” Tour.

The tour will commence in Brooklyn, New York, on January 29, and will conclude in Los Angeles, California, on March 9. However, the thing that matters most — at least to us — is Atlanta, and before Three Stacks closes out the “New Blue Sun Live” Tour on the West Coast, he will treat local fans to a four-night stint of shows spread across Variety Playhouse and Center Stage, from February 27 to March 2.

Joining André 3000 on the tour will be instrumentalists and New Blue Sun collaborators Carlos Niño, Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina, and Deantoni Parks. And, as you have likely already guessed from the nature of Three Stack’s latest record and the artists that he’s bringing in tour, you should not go into one of these concerts expecting a Hip-Hop extravaganza. Instead, look forward to an intimate and one-of-a-kind experience listening to the sonic musings of one of Atlanta’s most beloved musical acts in history. Just like OutKast’s unforgettable #ATLast shows in 2014, André 3000’s “New Blue Sun Live” concerts are already shaping up to be a set of shows that you do not want to miss. Without a doubt, these four shows will be a major cultural event that the city will be talking about for months and years to come.

Tickets go on sale to the public on Wednesday, January 24, at 10:00 a.m. See below for more information about André 3000’s upcoming Atlanta shows.

According to Ticketmaster and AXS, “there is a strict 2 ticket limit on this event.” Therefore, do not purchase tickets from anyone claiming to have resale tickets, and do not purchase tickets with the intent of reselling them. This is a beautiful opportunity for Atlanta’s music scene to engage with André 3000’s work in an unprecedented rare setting, so only purchase tickets if you are interested in the experience that Three Stacks and his team have put together. Good luck to everyone trying to purchase tickets. —CL—
