The So. Cal summer sun cast it”™s orange laser-like rays across city scape. From the Hollywood sign to downtown rusty shadows looked like a post-Armageddon scene in the film Escape From LA. 18 year old Paul O”™Connor looked out, smiled and took prominent music biz attorney, Al Schlesinger”™s, Cross ball point, leaned over the Sound City artist contract and signed. “œLet”™s rock n”™ roll!”
“œWhen you”™re the new kid in Sound City”™s studio A where the Buckingham / Nicks recordings led to Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty recorded “˜Damn The Torpedoes”™ & “˜Wildflowers”™, Foreigner recorded “˜Double Vision”™”¦Elton John, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Nirvana, you are in awe!”¦Paul and his band camped out in the rehearsal room 1. Ronnie Dio was in rehearsal room 2. Paul”™s 1st session in studio B-Joe Walsh walked just to hang”¦”I”™m not in “˜Philly”™ anymore!”
 Paul flourished at Sound City as a studio guitarist, vocalist, writer & producer. Paul was called to do vocal session by Bob Crew, Jerry Corbetta, Bill Conti for the Karate Kid. Worked with Autograph and numerous European artists. Paul performed with Heart, REO, Japan”™s “˜Madonna”™ Maria Hamada, Pegasus, Johnny O”™, The O”™Connor Brothers. Film Artists Agency secured acting gigs in national ad campaigns for Miller Beer, Pepsi Co, & Gatorade with Peyton Manning and Serena Williams.
In 2011 David Grohl purchased Sound City”™s Neve console and produced the documentary “˜Sound City”™. Paul appeared twice in the film with studio manager Paula Salvatore (Now at Capitol Studio) along with Rick Springfield, Kevin Cronin, Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty”¦so many notable iconic artists.
Paul went on to sign publishing deals in Nashville- Paul has written songs for The Little River Band and has cuts numerous feature films the television””and appeared in videos The Brothers Osborne and David Phelps.

STZ”™s is four nationally recognized musicians from LA to Nashville. Musician”™s notable credits collectively include the who”™s who in the music business.
