CL Critic Hal Horowitz Recommends: There are blues musicians that play the harmonica and others that wrestle it to the ground until the somewhat lowly instrument cries for mercy. Santini’s in the latter group, blowing fast and hard but with precision and soul. He’s a triple threat too as a tough, rugged singer and solid songwriter. His 2019 release The Longshot was one of the best albums in contemporary blues that year. — HH
