As a part of the Georgia History Festival, this event highlights the founding of the Georgia colony and encourages residents and visitors alike to discover the history of the state. Participating historic sites, museums and other points of interest will waive their admission fee for one day to promote the rich culture of Georgia.
On view at OUMA will be Jane Robbins Kerr’s “Bit and Pieces from Mississippi,” a collection of 30 photographs capturing the essence of Kerr’s home state. After traveling the world to photograph places like Morocco, Tanzania, Nepal, and Mexico, Kerr returns home with this collection that showcases her love of history, color, and storytelling.
