Exquisite Uterus Workshop with Aline Mello

The Exquisite Uterus Project is back at MODA! 

With reproductive justice continuing to be under attack here in Georgia, we’re once again joining forces to make our voices heard and to make a difference. This is not your usual protest, however. Instead of taking to the streets, we’ll add our voices to The Exquisite Uterus Project, a feminist art project that puts reproductive rights front and center. 

We’ll start by learning about The Exquisite Uterus Project and then each participant will get a piece of fabric printing with the outline of a uterus to decorate as they see fit. Whether you bead it, bedazzle it, or embroider it, your work will become a symbol of your stance on reproductive rights and part of a project in which 200+ individuals across the nation have already participated. 

MODA will provide The Exquisite Uterus fabric and some craft supplies, but feel free to bring your own too! 

This event recognized that there are diverse configurations of gender, body, and chromosomal sex, and that reproductive rights is an issue that extends to many genders and bodies. We welcome anyone who has something to say about that intersection as it pertains to reproductive health care.
