From the venue:

If the media provides our ‘window to the world’, what happens when the free press is not all that free? How should the media address accusations of fake news and misinformation?

Come join over a beer at one of the coolest venues in Atlanta for a moderated discussion about the challenges of accurately reporting the news not only where freedom of press is a constitutional right, but also in countries where governments and conflict restrict the access to the information and the diversity of voices.

The Council’s first edition of the Journalism Under Fire will open the conversation to the audience, inviting them to ask the tough questions to reporters from CNN’s Journalism Fellowship program. These fellows are worldwide CNN partners and are only in town for two weeks.

This program is very important for media professionals as well as it is for the public in general who depend on the news outlets to stay up to date on what’s happening in Atlanta and around the world.
