Death Cafe Atlanta 8

Friday January 10, 2014 07:00 PM EST
Cost: Free

From the venue:

There aren’t many public spaces in which the casual contemplation of death is common, let alone encouraged. But since the concept popped up in 2004, Death Café has become an international movement. The gatherings are meant to provide a safe, comfortable setting for people to discuss death over tea and cakes. The objective is “to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.” At 3 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 11, head over to the Historic Oakland Cemetery and explore, or perhaps discover, your understanding of death.
