Three Strikes And You're Out of MARTA for a year

New rules for MARTA riders who misbehave on its trains and buses could result in tougher punishment for repeat offenders. A committee of the transit system’s board of directors suggested that anyone with three citations for violating conduct rules in a 90-day period would be suspended for one year, and anyone with four citations in 90 days would be permanently banned.

The proposed regulations would levy automatic yearlong suspensions for offenses such as indecent exposure, stealing or damaging property, harassing or threatening passengers or employees, or fighting. The full board is expected to adopt the new rules this month. Details: ajc.com
