The Atlanta home of former NBA superstar Vince Carter was ransacked by burglars on Father’s Day while his wife and children hid in a closet, according to Atlanta police. Sondi Alexis Carter called 911 from inside a bedroom closet with her two boys while hearing the thieves rummaging through belongings in the rest of the house, police reported.

Vince Carter, now an analyst for ESPN, was not home at the time. He told officers in a phone call there had been a brown bag inside the Northside Drive residence with about $100,000 in hundred dollar bills, many of which were found strewn all over the driveway by responding officers. A black SUV was spotted fleeing the scene but the occupants eluded capture. Details: atlantapd.org
