Residents near a noisy club in Midtown are complaining that a technicality in the law is allowing the place to continue operating, despite their repeated objections. Relapse on 14th Street, which had reportedly lost its liquor license, is now categorized as a private party venue, and thus can still serve alcohol and host live bands that can be heard from blocks away, according to a neighbor. “The venue has changed its category — it’s now an event space, and they believe that’s given them a loophole in terms of the liquor license,” said Sene Sorrow, who added that opponents of the club will keep fighting against it. “We’re slow and steady; we don’t go away, and we’re persistent.” wsbtv.com
