NEWS BRIEF: Atlanta Pride Festival and Parade canceled — again

For the second year in a row, the Atlanta Pride Festival and Parade, scheduled for Oct. 9-10, has been canceled by its organizing committee, issuing a statement that said in part: “With the expectation that the Delta surge will continue for weeks ahead, APC makes this decision with a heavy heart.” Vendors, sponsors, and ticket holders will be contacted within seven days with instructions on obtaining refunds. The move comes on the heels of the City of Atlanta’s moratorium on issuing Class ‘A’ permits. atlantapride.org
