For the 17th consecutive year, ART PAPERS hosts its annual art auction and party, arguably Atlanta’s biggest art event of the year. Set for Sat., Feb. 27, at BoBo Intriguing Objects, this year’s auction kicks it old school with a ’70s theme that pays homage to the company’s 40th anniversary.

The auction is slated to feature work from more than 250 artists, including award-winning, Atlanta-based contemporary artists like Sheila Pree Bright, Bethany Collins, Sarah Emerson, and Bojana Ginn

A VIP preview will be held from 6-8 p.m. for sponsors, hosts, and VIP ticket holders, giving folks the opportunity to purchase art before the auction and to meet with some exhibiting artists. VIP tickets are $300.

Equipped with a full bar, the main event follows from 8-11 p.m. In the form of a silent auction, guests can bid on the artwork without the schmooze of traditional auctions, and can even bid from their phones. Rare Form DJ, Timothy S. DeGroot, busts out ’70s classics and restaurants Fritti, Sotto Sotto, Escorpion, Campagnolo, Henry’s Midtown, Genki and Das BBQ offers food samples. Advanced tickets are $60, $75 at the door.
